Paris spielt auf eine Sezene des Fillms Basic Instinct an. In dem Film ist Stone's Character eine Mordverdächtig, die während einem Verhör dauernd ihre Beine überkreuzt, da sie einen kurzen Rock, aber keine Unterwäsche trägt. Das lenkte die Dedektive ab.
Die Randolph -Anspielung ist eine, die wir nicht genau lösen konnten, da es ziemlich viele Randolphs gibt. Vermutlich meint Rory einen, der mit Politik/Zeitung zutun hat.
William Randolph Hearst, eine Zeitungsmogul, der seine Macht nutzte und abstruse, zum Teil von ihm umgeschriebene Geschichten verbreitete, um mehr Umsatz zu machen, ist ein Randolph, der vom Kontext her passen würde. Allerdings ist Randolph sein zweiter Vorname, was ja eher seltsam wäre.
Paris meint, das Schatzi, eine andere Kanidatin, einen auf Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct gemacht hat, um die Schüler von Paris´ Rede abzulenken.
