Lore war so betrunken, dass sie ein Vorstellungsvideo für Americas Next Topmodel filmen wollte.

 Luke hat mit April Philadelphia besucht, einen sehr geschichtsträchtigen Ort: 1787 wurde hier die Verfassung niedergeschrieben. Außerdem tagte hier der erste und teilweise auch der zweite Kontinentalkongress und die Amerikanische Unabhängigkeitserklärung wurde dort verkündet.



 Luke hat laut Lore also ein „historisches“ Gesicht, seit er aus Philly zurück ist.

 Miss Patty meint, Lore solle es nicht so schwer nehmen, sie selbst habe schon mehr betrunkene Festreden gehalten als Farrell. Sie meint auch, dass Lore ihn zum Altar bringen würde, auch wenn sie dafür die starken Maulpferde brauche.

 Lore meint, wenn man dreizehnjährige und Make-Up zusammenbringe, könne man nur gewinnen, so wie wenn man auf das beste Rennpferd setzt. Luke ist begeistert und Lore meint, sie wäre sein Ying zum Yang, oder sein Emack zum Bolio = sie sind ein Team.

 Marcia sieht aus wie Sophia Loren; wollte aber wie Minnillo aussehen. Das ist ziemlch lustig, denn Loren ist mittlerweile eine ältere Lady und Minnillo noch sehr jung.

 The Way Things Work ist ein Buch von Neil Ardley. Illustriert wurde es von  David Macaulay.

 Das Buch stellt eine unterhaltsame Einführung in die Funktionsweise von Alltagsgeräten dar. Auf jeder Seite werden durch mehrere oder ein Diagramm(e) die Betriebsarten von Maschinen erklärt.




 April bekommt das Buch von Luke (Lore hat es gekauft).

 Molly  Ringwald ist eine amerikanische Schauspielerin und Sängerin. Bekannt wurde sie in den 1980er Jahren mit ihren Rollen in John Hughes oben genannten Filmen.



 Audrey Hepburn war eine Schauspielerin mit britisch-niederländische wurzeln. Sie war vor allem in den 50ern  bekannt für Filme wie Sabrina oder Funny Face.


 Two and a Half Men ist eine amerikanische Sitcom.


 Jon Cryer spielt den Alan in Two and a half man und hatte in dem John Hughes Film Pretty in PInk die Rolle als Duckie, den besten Freund von Molly Ringwalds Figur

 Sookie und Lore erinnern sich an ihre Kinder- und Jugendzeit und an die damaligen Schminksachen. Sookie erzählt das ein Klassenkamerad mal einen Bonnebell mit Schokoladengeschmack gegessen hat und dann auf ihr Buch kotzte.
