Only thing that comes to mind is "senatus consultum" and I'm sure that isn't it. ^^ In what context is it? Is it a special kind of test? Maybe we can deduce this all logical-like.^^


And @jule: Having the Cambridge Certificate surely is a good thing. Especially for exchanges and the like.

Yes that's what I thought. when we had to select our classes they told us we can study in britain or USA when we got this certificate. but yesterday my teacher said we need an other certificate for doing this. but this is the only reason I decided to take this class and the test! but then she said if we are really good we can make the other test without taking the matching class. I would have choose the class for the other certificate but it is only for people who choose english as advanced course.

You make this certificate at your school? Are there other places where you can pass the test for this certificate or is this only in schools? Because I've never heard of this before. I only know DELF but this is french, maybe you know it...
Yesterday I called my best friend (she had moved to Trier) and we have talked for two ours and we were talking english nearly an hour of these two. Because my friend always talked about her english teacher, who cannot speak english very good. (He say things like "Lets talk about the Wandertag" always german words in english sentences... )

I did the Cambridge thing. But we didn't have to go to special classes to take it. We were just meeting at some saturdays and the teacher who coached us gave us some worksheets and stuff. But that wasn't obligatory.
How long do you have to attend the class? The whole year? Because in my opinion the test by itself is not that difficult.
The stressful thing is that the test takes a whole day. We had to be there by 7.45 am and I guess I was home at 6 or 7 pm. Afterwards we wanted to go out and "booze" (we had a terrible feeling about the test) but no one went because we were too exhausted.

I never had the opportunity to do "the Cambridge thing".^^ But I think it's a great option for you.

Sc, means single choice.

Since yesterday I haven't known that multiple choice means you get a question with around 4 answers and 1,2,3,4 or none of them can be correct. Single choice means you get a question with around 4 answers and only 1 is correct.
I always thought single choice is multiple choice.

Ah I'm so nervous my stomach plays funny turn around games and I feel sick.

Someone said that the english part of the test is difficult. I know I mentioned it before^^. I hope it's not too difficult for me. I know my english isn't like a native speakers, but it's quite good I think. The only fear I have, is that there are vocabulary I've never seen in my life. And we are not allowed to use a dictionary.

The tests have existed since 2005.
But:
2005 was no test, there were less candidates than "free places".
2006 was a test, but in the end it wasn't necessary, because less candidates wrote the test (or came to write the test^^) than "free places" were available.
2007 was the same as 2006.


The big question is, what will happen 2008???

we can choose whether we take the test in december or in june next year. and I think we'll have two half days for the test not one whole...

I'm so nervous, I mean I do know some facts I've learned detailed but I wasn't able to learn all details mentioned in the whole reader. I've read everything and the topics which seemed most improtant were the ones I learned in detail.

24 hours and everything is over...

No in 19 hours everything is over...awww but when I'm nervous it's a good sign, because it says I want to test what I've learned, I want to see what I remember etc. When I'm not nervous it's like my brain is saying, gaa don't worry that's sooo easy you can do that...I know that from school^^ Everytime I was nervous like now I got good marks, but when I wasn't nervous at all I got bad ones.

But being nervous is not nice. It feels like my heart is jumping around and I shiver once in a while...It's some kind of stage fright.

Tomorrow after 13:00 p.m. I'm going to be happy

Do you read an english book at the moment? I'm still reading The Green Mile, it's not very easy but I think I will finish it in a week or so^^

What are you going to do this week?

I think I will watch CNN, my new favourite TV channel.
And I'm going to read and eat and sleep (something I can't avoid doing^^).
