danke & schon gehts wieder weiter
âWas ich für eine Mutter sein mussâ stöhnte Lorelai in Chris Schulter.
Chris fuhr ihr über den Rücken. âLorelai, du bist eine tolle Mum, aber auch tolle Mütter machen mal Fehler, genauso wie tolle Töchter. Es war von Rory sicherlich nicht in Ordnung dich so in Verlegenheit zu bringen, ebenso wenig wie es von dir in Ordnung war sie so anzukeifen. Ihr werdet wieder mit einander reden und ebenso mit einander auskommen. Du wirst dich bei ihr entschuldigen und sie sich bei dir und dann ist alles wieder in Ordnung und ihr seit so unzertrennlich wie immer.â
âSie wird mir nie verzeihen, das ich zu ihr gesagt habe, das sie mein Privatleben nichts angeht. Herrgott, es geht sie sehr wohl was an. Sie ist nicht nur meine Tochter und hat das recht zu wissen, was bei mir läuft. Nein, sie ist auch meine beste Freundin.â Lorelai stiegen die Tränen in die Augen. âUnd ich weià nicht wo sie jetzt ist, aber ich weiÃ, das sie mir das, was ich ihr heute Abend an den Kopf geschmettert habe mir nie verzeihen wird.â
Auf den letzten Teil des Satzes ging Chris schon gar nicht mehr ein. âSie ist bestimmt bei Jess.â
Lorelai schüttelte den Kopf. âNicht mehr um diese Uhrzeit, da hätte Luke sich schon längst gemeldet.â
âSollen wir sie suchen?â fragte Chris und zog ihren Kopf zu sich hoch, dass er ihr in die Augen schauen konnte.
Lorelai nickte und schüttelte den Kopf gleichzeitig. âWir finden sie doch sowieso nicht. Es hat doch keinen Sinn.â
âHey!â rief Christopher laut. âWo ist dein Optimismus hin? Los, wir gehen!â Er zog Lorelai an der hand hoch, gab ihr einen Kuss und zog sie mit zur Türe.
âWillst du deine Mutter anrufen?â fragte Jess als er die Tür hinter sich und Rory ins Schloss gleiten lieÃ.
Rory sah sich mit verquollenen Augen um. âNein, soll sie doch sehen wo sie bleibt.â Murrte sie. Sie war nicht nur verletzt, sie war auch wütend. Wie konnte ihre Mutter sie nur so vor den Kopf stoÃen.
âSicher? Nicht das sie die Polizei rufen?â Er hielt ihr das Telefon hin, doch Rory schob es genervt weg.
âDie machen eh erst nach vierundzwanzig Stunden was, Jess.â Sie seufzte und lieà sich auf die Couch fallen.
Jess legte das Telefon weg und setzte sich neben sie. âHey Roryâ raunte er und strich ihr eine Haarsträne sanft aus dem Gesicht.
Sie drehte ihm ihr Gesicht zu und sah ihn die liebevollen dunklen Augen von ihrem Freund.
âich liebe dichâ flüsterte er zögerlich.
Auf Rorys verweintem Gesicht machte sich ein Strahlen breit. âIch liebe dich auch, Jessâ
Dann umarmte sie ihn fest. Ihr Gesicht vergrub sie in seinem Hals und Jess an dem ihren.
Rory merkte leicht, wie Jess sie am Hals küsste, doch sie spürte auch noch etwas anderes. Etwas was sich in ihr aufbaute.
Sie nahm sein Gesicht und führte seine Lippen zu ihrem Mund.
âJessâ seufzte Rory gegen seine Lippen und löste sich leicht von ihm. Seine Hände lagen auf ihrem warmen Rücken, als sie sich von ihm wegdrückte.
âHmmm?â machte er und sah sie an. Seine Augen funkelten vor Glückseeligkeit.
âIch...â sie stockte und wurde rot. âich muss mal ins Badâ Sie löste sich aus seiner Umarmung und verschwand mit schüchternem Blick ins Bad.
Sobald die Tür vom Badezimmer zugegangen war, war Jess aufgesprungen und hatte sich das Telefon gekrallt. Wie wild kloppte er auf den tasten herum.
âAh, das Telefonâ Lorelai stürmte ins Wohnzimmer und hob ab, bevor der Anrufbeantworter sich einschalten konnte.
âRory?â hauchte sie ins Telefon. Gespannt stellte sich Chris hinter sie.
âNein, Jessâ murrte dieser ins Telefon.
âWer ist es?â fragte Christopher ungeduldig und legte Lorelai die Hand auf die Schulter.
âJess.â Meinte Lorelai und lief unruhig auf und ab. âIst sie bei dir?â
âNein, am Nordpolâ meinte Jess sarkastisch. âNatürlich ist sie bei mir. Machen Sie sich keine Sorgen, Lorelai. Ich passâ auf sie auf.â
âKannst du mir sie bitte geben?â bat Lorelai fast flüsternd.
Bedauernd schüttelte Jess den Kopf. âSie will nicht mit Ihnen reden. Tut mir leid.â Er legte auf.
Lorelai drehte sich erleichtert zu dem Vater ihrer Tochter um. âSie ist bei Jess.â
