Hallihallooooo! :hi:
Hehe, ich hab bei mir auf dem PC doch glatt einen oneshot über GG gefunden *staun*. Ist mal wieder auf Englisch. Also dann:
How everything began
It was a hot summer day, when Lorelai Gilmore entered âLukeâs Dinerâ for the first time. It was about lunch and she hadnât had any coffee yet. Breakfast, sure. But unfortunately she was out of coffee at home. Her nerves were out of work and she really needed coffee right now. So she grabbed her mug and went to the counter. Not yet sitting on a stool she already ordered. âThis guy must be Luke.â she thought. âI canât believe Sookie didnât tell me.â She was already pleading and begging for her coffee but Luke told her to wait for a few minutes while he was serving another costumer. All of a sudden Lorelai stood up and followed him and really started to annoy him. And all of a sudden again she sat down on one of the stools and grabbed the newspaper. âHmmm, Horoscopes. I donât believe them but itâs funny what they tell.â A thought was running through her mind. She read them all and, of course, she also wanted to know what Lukeâs sign might be. She was guessing aloud and Luke was really pissed off of her, so to shut her up he told her. And all again of a sudden Lorelai reached for paper and a pencil and wrote something down. Shoving the paper to Luke she said:
âSo, hey, Luke. I think this is your horoscope. And, you know what? Iâm still waiting for my coffee. So, a little faster with that, please.â Grinning she waited for his reaction.
âI hope you believe in horoscopeâs, because if you donâtâ¦â But suddenly Luke interrupted her.
âThen what? Someone will try to annoy me more than youâre doing right now? I donât think that this is ever going to happen.â
âWell, your decision, mister. But this is so not working. You have to read the horoscope first and then you can decide whether you believe it or not. Pleeeeeeeease read it. I promise Iâll go after Iâve drunk my coffee. Oh, and I swear Iâll never come back, but please read it.â
âOkay. If it makes you happy.â
The door bell rang and Miss Patty came in.
âLorelai? What are you doing here? Not at the inn? Is Rory ill? Or something else wrong? You know, you can tell me everything, sweetie. â Oh, and Luke, would you make me some fries?â
âSure, Patty.â While Lorelai answered Patty, Luke read his âhoroscopeâ. It told him that he was going to meet an annoying woman today. He should give her a cup of coffee and she will go away. Lorelai was ready to start a rebellion just to get her beloved coffee. Smiling Luke turned to her and gave Lorelai her coffee mug.
âYouâre a pain in the neck.â He said.
âThanks.â She answered. âSo, I believe in this horoscope, but itâs a pity that this annoying woman will go after she has drunk her coffee.â
âYou think so? Well, then Iâm glad that I can say that Iâm this annoying woman. And by the way, I wouldnât go anyway. Iâm actually meeting someone here, so I have to stay or this someone wonât find me, because Iâm not here even though I told this someone that I would wait here. â Was that too fast or in any way confusing?â
âNope. Not even close. So are you gonna tell me who youâre waiting for?â His mind went all crazy when he looked at her. She was so incredible. âOh, my god. This is the very most bestest coffee Iâve ever had. I canât believe this.â She began to praise Lukeâs coffee when a young girl entered the diner. She sat down next to Lorelai and Luke turned to her immediately.
âWhat can I get you?â He smiled at her while Lorelaiâs mouth fell open in surprise that he served the girl so quickly but let her, Lorelai, wait so long.
âCoffee, thanks.â She smiled back, waiting for Luke to serve her but he didnât move.
âAre you sure that your parents allow you to drink coffee?â He was still smiling politely but he knew that this girl was probably not older than 13 years. He wouldnât gibe minors any coffee unless they were allowed by their parents, for he didnât like to see people drink coffee at all.
âYes, her mother is okay with that.â Lorelai answered for the girl, looking very serious.
âHow do you know that?â He replied annoyed, not knowing that Lorelai was the mother of that girl.
âOkay, Luke. This is Rory. Rory this is Luke. Rory is my daughter Luke and Iâm her mother and I really allow her to drink coffee.â She explained herself, still looking serious but Luke didnât believe her, still assuming that she as joking.
âNo. This is⦠no, you canât. How old are you guys? And by the way nice name, Rory.â He stuttered through his surprise and gave Rory her mug.
âThanks. My mom is 28 and I am 12. And please donât listen to what she says âcause sheâs a little crazy.â Rory answered him smiling and took a sip from her coffee.
âOh. My. God. That coffee. It is sooooooooooooooâ¦â She trailed off and Lorelai began to talk again.
âYeah, I know. Itâs unbelievable. And donât believe her, Luke, Iâm not crazy.â
âHow did you come up with such a rare name? I always thought âRoryâ would be a name for boys.â He inquired. He really liked this woman and couldnât believe that she was so young and yet had a daughter of 12 years.
âThank you, mister, that you are so nice to my beautiful model daughter. But youâre right. Actually her name is Lorelai, you know. The nurses in the hospital gave me so much Demerol that I couldnât focus on anything and so I called her Lorelai. After me. And besides that, when sons can be called after their fathers why canât daughters and mothers do the same thing?â She said all those words with about 1000 mph but he was so focused on her that he didnât realize her being so fast. He definitely had a crush on her and her smile kicked him out of his boots.
âLook, mom. He likes you.â Rory mentioned when Luke stared at her for ages. She knew that her mother was hot and she liked this Luke-guy.
âI know, sweetie. Thatâs why I talk to him.â Lorelai said, not minding that everyone could hear them. She really liked Luke and somehow had a crush on him since he didnât want to give her coffee in the first place and his smile let the ground under her disappear.
