Das war nicht ihr Decke! Auf keinen Fall.
Ãngstlich schlug sie die Augen auf und musste feststellen, dass sie nicht in ihrem Zimmer war. Im ersten Moment hatte sie keine Ahnung, wo sie sich befand. Im nächsten roch sie den vertrauten Jess-Geruch ein und mit einem Mal kamen all ihre Erinnerungen an die letzte Nacht zurück. Sie lag in Jess Bett!
Völlig erstarrte, dachte sie darüber nach, was sie tun sollte. Sich einfach unbemerkt aus der Wohnung schleichen? Nein, das würde nicht funktionieren, er würde es bemerken.
Langsam und vorsichtig richtete sie sich in dem Bett auf und schaute sich um. Sie konnte durch die angelehnte Schlafzimmertür genau in die Küche schauen. Und dort stand er. Nur in Boxershorts bekleidet, lehnte er an der Küchenzeile und las ein Buch. Neben ihm stand ein dampfender Kaffee.
Kaffee!, dachte sie. Das war genau das, was sie jetzt brauchte, doch dann blieb ihr Blick wieder an Jess hängen, der unwiderstehlicher denn je aussah. Sein Haar war noch verwuschelter als sonst, was sie abgöttisch liebte, und so leichtbekleidet sah er so gut aus, das sie sich am liebsten auf ihn gestürzt hätte. Und das machte sie fertig. Er sah zwar total heià aus, aber er hatte sie belogen und ausgenutzt, ihr Herz gebrochen. Dann konnte sie sich doch nicht in seinen morgendlichen Anblick verlieben. Nein, sie war fest entschlossen, sich nicht einfach so verarschen zu lassen.
Aber was war, wenn er es ernst meinte? Wenn er und Lorelai Recht hatten? Was war, wenn er sie wirklich liebte, so wie er es ihr gesagt hatte. Was war, wenn....
Entnervt über ihre beschissene Lage, schmiss sie sich rückwärts ins Bett und zog die Bettdecke bis zum Kinn hoch. Sie seufzte in sich hinein, als sie spürte, wie sehr die Decke nach ihm roch.
Jess versuchte sich auf sein Buch zu konzentrieren. Er starrte wie gebannt auf die Wörter, doch seine Augen schienen ihm einen Streich zu spielen. Aus den Buchstaben bildete sich immer wieder nur ein Wort: Rory.
Er seufzte laut und stieà entnervt die Luft aus. Dann legte er das Buch neben sich und stieà sich vom Küchenschrank ab. Lautlos öffnete er die Schlafzimmertür noch einen Spalt und lugte ins Zimmer. Sie schlummerte völlig friedlich in seinem Bett. Er ärgerte sich darüber, dass sie so süà aussah und er sich sofort zu ihr legen wollte. Er wusste genau, dass sie sauer war. Dass alles sehr kompliziert war.
Aber einerseits war er auch völlig entsetzt gewesen, als er sich über sie gebeugt und die starke Alkoholfahne gerochen hatte. Rory war noch nie ein Mensch gewesen, der Alkohol trank und dann erst recht nicht in solchen Massen. Es war völlig untypisch für sie. Reuevoll schlug er die Lider nieder, er war sich sicher, dass er an ihrem Zustand die volle Schuld trug. Er hatte ihr das Herz gebrochen â obwohl er es ernst gemeint hatte. Er liebte sie - es war die Wahrheit.
Vanessa hatte es geschafft, sie hatte ihm das genommen, was sie am meisten liebte. Nur das sie noch hier in seinem Bett lag und er deshalb noch ein Fünkchen Hoffnung besaÃ.
Als er sah, wie im Schlaf ein sanftes Lächeln ihre Lippen umspielten, ging er zu hinüber und strich zaghaft mit einer Hand über ihre weiche Wange. Er strich ihr eine Strähne der lockigen, braunen Haare aus dem Gesicht und löste sich dann widerstrebend von ihr.
An der Tür drehte er sich noch einmal um und schloss dann die Tür.
Sie hatte seine Hand gespürt. Hatte gespürt wie sanft er sie berührt hatte. Auch wenn sie jetzt noch daran dachte, durchzog sie ein wohliger Schauer. Sie hatte sich zusammenreiÃen müssen, nicht die Augen aufzuschlagen und ihn zu sich zu ziehen. Sie hatte sich zusammenreiÃen müssen und hatte gewartet bis er die Tür hinter sich geschlossen hatte. Auch wenn sie ihre Augen geschlossen gehalten hatte, hatte sie seinen Blick gespürt.
Es schmerzte sie, dass seine Anwesenheit und seine Berührungen, seine Blicke ihr so vertraut waren. Es schmerzte, weil sie wusste, dass er eine Verlobte hatte und sie sich hintergangen fühlte. Er hatte sie angelogen. Und nun lag sie hier, in seinem Bett und wusste nicht was tun oder fühlen sollte, war sich völlig im Unklaren über ihre Emotionen. Am liebsten wäre sie jetzt auf einer einsamen Insel gewesen, zusammen mit ihrer Mutter und Luke, der sie mit Essen und Kaffee versorgen konnte. Auf einer wunderschönen, einsamen Insel mitten im Nirgendwo. Unter Kokos-Palmen und bunten Vogelschwärmen im Liegestuhl sitzen und direkt auf den türkisfarben-funkelnden Ozean blicken. Fernab von Problemen und jeglichen Gefühlen. Fernab von Stars Hollow. Fernab von Dean. Fernab von Verlobten und Hochzeiten. Fernab von ihm.... fernab von Jess.

Diesen Teil widme ganz "überraschend" lydimaus, weil sie wirklich DER Leser der ersten Stunde ist, sie hat AFA und AaE als allererste gelesen, sie hat mir immer weitergeholfen und ohne sie hätte ich die FFs wahrscheinlich nie zu Ende gebracht!

11. Kapitel
Rory erwachte, als matte Sonnenstrahlen ihre Nase kitzelten und eine laue Brise durch das Zimmer zog. Ihr war schwindelig und ihre Glieder fühlten sich schwach an. Sie versuchte sich daran zu erinnern, warum es ihr so komisch zu Mute war. Leider konnte sie sich absolut nicht mehr an den vorhergegangen Tag erinnern. Bald gab sie auf und drehte sich seufzend auf die Seite. Komisch, dachte sie, ich hatte mein Bett immer als viel weicher in Erinnerung. Aber sie wollte nicht mehr nachdenken und einfach weiterschlafen. 11. Kapitel
