Sooooo, was kann ich euch über diesen Teil erzählen? Hmmm *grübel*
Erstma nicht viel, auÃer: Er wird euch wahrscheinlich nicht gefallen ^^
Dann kann ich noch sagen, dass jetzt der Teil der FF kommt auf den ich schon ewig zu arbeite. Ich hatte diese Konzept, wie es weiter geht nachdem Rory das mit Vanessa erfahren hatte und mir war dann plötzlich diese Idee in den Kopf gekommen. Ich hatte nur ein wackliges Gerüst... so ungefähr "Rorys Unfall + das was jetzt kommt". Joa, und dann sehen wir mal weiter.
Anne ist die einzige, die weià wies weitergeht und die auch schon weiÃ, was mit Rory ist (das weiÃt du schon seit n paar Monaten, wa Anne?!). Und vielleicht beruhigt euch das ja ein bissl, denn sie hat allem ihren Segen gegeben. Ich hab ihr zwei Varianten, wie es weitergehen soll, vorgeschlagen und sie hat diese hier gewählt. ABER: Wenns euch nicht passt, müsst ihr mich vollmeckern, schlieÃlich ist das alles auf meinem Mist gewachsen. Anne hat sich nur die schönere Variante oder die bessere für euch Leser rausgesucht ^^ Naja, ihr werdet ja sehen wie`s weitergeht!

PS: Es hat sooooo viel Spaà gemacht, dieses Kapitel zu schreiben, wegen dem ganzen medizinischen Schnickschnack. Das war wirklich interessant und das Schreiben war toll...
Als sie das Büro des Arztes betraten, fühlte sich Jess nicht wohler als vorher, aber er konnte freier atmen als zuvor. Irgendwie engten ihn Krankenhäuser innerlich ein. Dieser Raum war nicht anders als alle anderen Räume des Hospitales, jedoch strahlten die persönlichen Gegenstände des Oberarztes und die vielen Familienbilder auf seinem Schreibtisch eine gewisse Nahbarkeit dar. Ein Bezug zur Realität.
„Bitte setzen Sie sich doch.“, sagte der Mann mit einer einladenden Geste, während er selbst sich niederlieà und die Hände ineinander verschränkt auf den Tisch legte. Lorelai und Jess folgten seiner Einladung und lieÃen sich in zwei bequeme Stühle vor dem Schreibtisch sinken. Der Arzt lächelte leicht und musterte sie über den Rand seiner Brille hinweg. „Ich bin Professor Doktor Joseph Smithfield.“
Die beiden Angehörigen seiner neusten Patientin nickten ihm mit einem gequälten Lächeln zu und warteten dann gebannt auf irgendeinen Hinweis bezüglich der Patientin Rory Gilmore.
Der Arzt schob sich nun die Brille auf die Nase und öffnete eine Mappe, die er ausführlich studierte.
Jess wurde langsam zappelig. Der freundliche Arzt hatte nun Rorys Mappe vor sich und las aufmerksam darin. Er war ein netter Mann, doch im Moment hasste Jess ihn dafür, dass er sie so lange warten lieÃ. Das ewige Warten quälte ihn.
SchlieÃlich hob Smithfield seinen Kopf und sah sie mit ernstem Blick an. „Nun denn. Ich will Sie nicht länger auf die Folter spannen und Ihnen sagen, wie es um die Patientin...“ Er sah noch einmal flüchtig auf die Mappe, um sich des Namens zu vergewissern. „...Lorelai Leigh Gilmore steht.“
Sofort nickten Lorelai und Jess. Die beiden hingen wie gebannt an den Lippen des Arztes.
„Zu erst einmal kann ich Ihnen mitteilen, dass Miss Gilmore noch am Leben ist.“
Und da war es, der Satz auf den Jess seit sieben verdammten Stunden gewartet hatte. Der Satz, den er sich so sehnlichst herbei gewünscht hatte. Der Satz, der sein Leben wieder lebenswert werden lieÃ.
Sie lebte! Sein Baby war gerettet und sie würde ihn nicht allein in der Dunkelheit zurücklassen. Selbst später konnte er nicht verdeutlichen, was für eine Last in diesem Moment von ihm abgefallen war. Sein Baby lebte....
Lorelai stieà einen erleichterten Seufzer aus, der die Stille durchbrach, die sich augenblicklich über den Raum gelegt hatte. Es war eine glückliche, unfassbare Stille gewesen. Niemand konnte etwas sagen und doch waren alle Personen in diesem Moment überglücklich.
Jess spürte, wie Lorelai ihre Hand auf seine legte, die auf der Armlehne ruhte, und sie drückte. Er drehte sich leicht zu ihr und sie lächelten sich an. Es war ein müdes Lächeln, dass jedoch auf beiden Seiten Berge versetzen konnte. Er erwiderte den Händedruck und sah dann wieder den Arzt an, der ihnen diese kurze Atempause gewähren lieÃ.
„Leider muss ich Ihnen auch eine schlechte Nachricht überbringen.“, sagte der Arzt warnend. Er hatte schon zu oft erlebt, dass Angehörige zu überwältigt von der Nachricht waren, dass ihre Liebsten noch am Leben waren, und daraufhin mit den Folgen völlig zusammenbrachen. Er hasste es, die Menschen zu enttäuschen, denen er gerade im Moment zuvor eine so wundervolle Nachricht überbracht hatte.
Augenblicklich versteinerten sich die Mienen der beiden wieder und als niemand etwas sagte, fuhr der Arzt mit ruhiger Stimme fort. „Die Patientin hat durch den schweren Aufprall eine so starke Schädelfraktur erlitten, dass das Gehirn durch innere Blutungen eingeklemmt wurde. Sie leidet unter einem Schädel-Hirn-Trauma 3. Grades. Eine wirklich ernstzunehmende und schwerwiegende Verletzung, die im schlimmsten Fall auch zum Tod führen kann.“
Jess hielt die Luft an, all die Worte rauschten an ihm vorbei ohne dass er sie wirklich aufnahm. All das war zu viel für ihn und nun klammerte sich Lorelai ängstlich an seine Hand.
„Was.... was bedeutet das für meine Tochter, Doktor Smithfield?“, fragte Lorelai mit zittriger Stimme.
„Zum Glück handelt es sich nur um ein geschlossenes Schädel-Hirn-Trauma, wodurch bleibende Schäden, wie Lähmung oder geistige Behinderung, ausgeschlossen werden können. Ihre Tochter musste wiederbelebt werden und befindet sich im Augenblick noch in einem künstlichen Koma. Sie wird sich vollständig erholen, auch die Brüche und Prellungen werden ihr keine Schwierigkeiten bereiten. Das einzige Problem besteht darin, dass sie eine retrograde – eine rückwirkende – Amnesie erlitten hat. Das heiÃt, ein Gedächtnisverlust für den Zeitraum vor Eintreten des schädigenden Ereignisses. Die Patientin kann im Gedächtnis gespeicherte Bilder oder Zusammenhänge nicht mehr in das Bewusstsein holen.“, erklärte der Arzt ausführlich.
Lorelai und Jess sahen ihn verständnislos an. Wieder ergriff Lorelai nach einem kurzen, verwirrten Schweigen das Wort. „Aber Doktor Smithfield, was meinen Sie...“
Mit einem bemitleidenden Blick, fiel er ihr sanft ins Wort. „Mrs. Gilmore- Danes, ihre Tochter wird sich an nichts erinnern können. Weder daran, wer Sie sind, noch wer sie selbst ist.“
Lorelai starrte ihn mit groÃen Augen an, der Unterkiefer klappte ihr herunter. Sie sah aus, als ob sie etwas sagen wollte, aber die Worte kamen nicht über ihre Lippen. Jess biss die Zähne zusammen, als sie seine Hand fast zerquetschte, und schwieg. Er konnte es nicht fassen!
Rory hatte ihr Gedächtnis verloren. Sie wusste nichts mehr... Sie würde ihn nicht erkennen, wenn sie sich wiedersahen. Er würde sie nicht mit einem Lächeln in die Arme schlieÃen können, denn sie würde nicht mehr wissen, wer er war. Diese Erkenntnis überrollte ihn wie ein tonnenschwerer Laster. Er war völlig gerädert...
Sie war nicht tot. Ihr Körper lebte noch, aber es war als lieÃen sie ihm eine sterbliche Hülle ihrerselbst hier und nahmen ihre Seele, ihren Verstand, ihr Herz mit sich in den Himmel. Als trügen die Engel all ihr Wesen mit sich fort und hinterlieÃen ihren Körper hier auf der Erde, um seine Schmerzen etwas zu lindern. Aber er wollte nicht nur ihren Körper, er wollte die wirkliche Rory. Ganz oder gar nicht.
Er merkte, wie ihm erste Tränen in die Augen stiegen und zum ersten Mal war es ihm egal, ob andere ihn weinen sahen. Es war ihm egal, denn seine und Rorys Liebe war nicht mehr zu retten, auch wenn sie noch lebte. Die ganzen Erinnerungen und gemeinsamen Erfahrungen waren einfach aus ihrem Gehirn gelöscht worden. Einfach so.... als hätte jemand ihre ganze gemeinsame Zeit auf einem Videoband mit tiefster Schwärze überspielt. All die ganzen Jahre... sie waren weg. Einfach weg...
Plötzlich schluchzte Lorelai laut auf, ihr ganzer Körper bebte und ihr Blick war völlig leer. Jess handelte sofort, legte seinen Arm um ihre Schultern und zog sie zu sich. Weinend legte sie ihr Gesicht an seine Brust und heulte sich an seiner Seite aus. Die lauten Schluchzer hallten durch das Büro des Arztes und schienen immer lauter anzudröhnen.
So saÃen sie da und weinten gemeinsam um ihr Baby. Um seine groÃe Liebe und ihre heiÃgeliebte Tochter.
