Twilight may be ruling pop culture, but pop stars won't be ruling New Moon.
Nope, instead we're getting a soundtrack full of emo, indie and alt-rockers, including Death Cab for Cutie, the purveyors of the first single, along with The Killers, Thom Yorke, OK Go, Bon Iver, Editors, Grizzly Bear and Muse, as well as the lesser-known likes of Band of Skulls, Hurricane Bells and Sea Wolf.
Somehow, with pictures of Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart on the cover, we doubt it'll have a hard time selling by the thousands—the first film's disc went double platinum and featured largely no-name musicians.
Still, there's one formerly unknown crooner the first album had in its favor that the second seriously lacks—Pattinson himself...
Sadly, the vamp won't be returning to the music charts for this one, but here's who is, thanks the full track listing released on MySpace.
- Death Cab For Cutie, "Meet Me on the Equinox"
- Band of Skulls, "Friends"
- Thom Yorke "Hearing Damage"
- Lykke Li, "Possibility"
- The Killers, "A White Demon Love Song"
- Anya Marina, "Satellite Heart"
- Muse, "I Belong to You (New Moon)"
- Bon Iver and St. Vincent, "Rosyln"
- Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, "Done All Wrong"
- Hurricane Bells, "Monsters"
- Sea Wolf, "The Violet Hour"
- OK Go, "Shooting the Moon"
- Grizzly Bear, "Slow Life"
- Editors, "No Sound but the Wind"
- Alexandre Desplat, "New Moon (The Meadow)"
