So who at this party will talk? Well, East Tennesseans, of course.

We have Czuchry, who plays Logan on "The Gilmore Girls." He came to the party late, which, if said anywhere else in the country, sounds like bad news.

Here, it means you're arriving in more ways than one.

"I just got off work," he says, sounding like he just clocked out from the local factory.

He told me about his recent trip back home to Johnson City for Thanksgiving and his family's traditional game of football. Also on that trip, he addressed a theater class at Kingsport's Dobyns-Bennett High School.

"I went through a typical day with me," he says. "I let them know that it is work.

"You have to be prepared. You have to show up on time. You have to do your work."

He also talked about how scenes are shot and blocking and such.

But they really wanted to know the answers to burning questions like, "What kind of car do you drive?"

So what kind of car does Matt drive?

He smiled, laughed and then skirted around the question.

"I don't like to talk about things like that," he said at the party as he squirmed.

Obviously, he's not driving a Chevette, circa 1985.

Students also wanted to know what's in store for his character, Logan, and his on-screen love interest, Rory (Alexis Bledel).

"I don't know," he said. "It depends on whether we are going to do a season finale or a series finale."

"Gilmore Girls" is on the edge of wrapping it up, due to the end of the contracts for its lead actors

Es ist Pilot-Season und auch Matt Czuchry sieht sich offenbar langsam aber sicher nach neuen Jobmöglichkeiten um für den Fall, dass "Gilmorw Girls" nach der aktuellen 7. Staffel beendet wird. Nun hat er für die Serie "Gravity" unterschrieben.

Die Dramaserie "Gravity" soll im aufwendigen Kinostil produziert werden und zeigt eine Reihe von jungen Polizisten, die in Los Angeles ihre Ausbildung machen. Neben Matt Czuchry wurden bereits Brooke Nevin("4400 Die Rückkehrer") und Ryan Merriman ("Final Destination III") verpflichtet. Hinter dem Projekt steht Produzent und Drehbuchautor Caleb Kane, vorher bekannt unter dem Namen Bradley Kane.

Aufgrund der aufwendigen Produktionsweise hat der Sender CW zunächst keine Produktion einer Pilotfolge in Auftrag gegeben, stattdessen wird die Serie im Rahmen einer Präsentation von Produzenten und Autoren vorgestellt.

"Gilmore Girls" ist und bleibt allerdings Matt Czuchrys erste Priorität. Sollte die Serie eine weitere Staffel bekommen und die Produzenten ihn weiter in der Serie einsetzen wollen, dann wird "Gravity" zurückstehen. Fraglich ist zudem, ob die Serie wirklich ins Programm genommen wird, da die Produktion sehr aufwendig und teuer sein dürfte.

Von den Vertragsverhandlungen der weiteren "Gilmore Girls"-Darsteller und somit der Zukunft der Serie sind unterdessen keine weiteren Details bekannt.
