Marcia Cross ist am 25. März 1962 in Marlborough, Massachusetts, geboren. Nachdem sie in New York an der Juilliard School das Schauspiel studierte, sah man sie in den 80ern und 90ern hauptsächlich in Rollen von US-Soaps wie zum Beispiel "The Edge of the Night", "Knot's Landing" und "One Life to Live". Außerdem gastierte die 1,78 Meter große Marcia Cross in den TV-Shows "It's Garry Shandling's Show" und "Cheers". Auch in kleinen Filmrollen konnte man sie daraufhin sehen.
