“You get that I hate you, right?” Meredith wrinkled her nose.

Cristina smirked and nodded. “Got it.” She grabbed Meredith’s hand and trailed her in Derek’s direction. “But I have a feeling that you’ll thank me for this later.”

In the meantime, Derek had taken a seat next to Izzie and had listened to her babbling, a little vacantly, keeping tabs on Meredith and Cristina who had an excited conversation about some kind of… women stuff. About him, to be more precisely. At least he guessed so. He felt her stare on him from time to time and noticed her uncomfortableness when he caught her. She always adverted her eyes when she realized it. Though he found her behaviour kind of cute he wondered what the reason for her discomfort might be. Was it about him? Without sounding arrogant: that was not the effect he usually had on women.
Anyway. At least he had the chance to have a closer look at her.

She. Looked. Stunning.

He scanned her from tip to toe and all the way back. Her white, tight dress accentuated her female curves perfectly. Some loose strands of her long hair were dangling in her face.

Aphrodite. Yeah. That’s whom she reminded him of. Devine beauty. A goddess.

Though she was rather petite, Derek had no doubt that there was a lot of power in that adorable little body of hers. The way she was gesturing wildly at Cristina made him chuckle a little. Those fists. Not so ineffectual, apparently.
He was completely lost in her. He didn’t even realize that Izzie’d stopped her cheery blah blah blah and watched him with amusement. He had no idea why but he felt like he was in High School. He felt like he was a freaking brace-wearing pubescent teenager looking at the most beautiful girl in the whole entire world. He felt like he had to rip a piece of paper out off his exercise book writing down the words “You wanna go with me? YES [ ] NO [ ] MAYBE [ ]” and give it to her secretly.
Fortunately, he couldn’t further pursue his daydreaming because he was interrupted by a slight cough.

Damn! He hadn’t even realized their returning. He was such a wreck. Seriously.

He jumped off of his bar stool, all gentleman-like and reached out his right hand, again grinning like freaking Cheshire cat itself. Seriously. If he had no ears, he would smile all around his head. Right now? He felt like the biggest fool on earth. But he couldn’t help. He was smiling. At her. And he couldn’t stop it. Smiling. Like a fool.

“Hey. Derek Shepherd.” he said, shaking hands with her. Her hand. Very soft. For a split second, he slightly stroked the back of her hand with his thumb. “It’s a pleasure to meet ya.”

It raises goose bumps in her when she felt his thump travelling along her hand. She already loved his hands. They were male. Strong. But sensitive. She caught herself thinking about his hands moving across her body. Massaging. Soft. Gentle.

Behave, Meredith! Bad thoughts. Really. Bad. Thoughts. Except they are nice…
Damn!

“Meredith Grey. Nice ta meet ya, too.” Meredith squeezed his hand, quickly, and let off it as if she’d got an electric shock. Her gaze wandered up to his cobalt blue eyes.

When their eyes met, everything stopped. The babbling. Stopped. The music. Stopped. The people. Stopped. Everything just stopped. Meredith tried to breathe but it didn’t work. The air stopped, too. The heat started to rise up in her again. Causing her to gasp for breath.

“I… Hot!” she mumbled, fanning herself with her hands fluttering in front of her face.

Derek flushed a mischievous grin at her. “Yeah, there I agree.”

It took her a while to realize the ambiguity of his comment. She blushed and grinned, looking shyly on the floor.

Cristina, Izzie and George watched them the entire time. Well, Cristina and Izzie did, George still laid on his stool, eyes closed, from time to time moaning some unknowable stuff and being just… drunk.

“This is disgusting.” Cristina nodded in their direction, wrinkling her forehead. “They’re acting like Barbie and Ken and I’ll get caries if I stay here a minute longer.”

“Naaah, they’re sweet.” Izzie rested her chin in her palms, watching Meredith and Derek with a bright smile. “She deserves this. Besides,” she looked at Cristina, “it was your idea to bring McDreamy here.”

“Don’t flog a dead horse. I’m glad she’s enjoying this but look at them. They behave like lovesick rabbits. It is just.” She shuddered. “Disgusting. They should get a room or something.”

“I think we should leave them alone.” Izzie hopped off her chair and hit George on the back. “Up, Georgee!”

“Maybe we should leave him here.” Cristina frowned as Izzie reached under his armpits to support him. “If he vomits over my dress, I will so kill him.”

ich habe schon so sehnlichst drauf gewartet. ich meine so konnte ich mich noch mal richtig schön entspannen bevor morgen meine klausuren anfangen.

war wieder ein super toll. die szenerie ist total gut beschrieben. ich musste direkt anfangen zu schmunzeln, als ich das gelesen habe. hat mich irgendwie an eine szene aus meinem leben erinnert.

aber ich kann christina auch verstehen....wenn ich an ihrer stelle gewesen wäre, dann würde mich das benehmen auch nerven.

Keine Angst, dieses Mal schreibe ich jede Idee sofort auf und das meiste kommt bei mir während des Schreibens ganz spontan. Noch habe ich jedenfalls einiges zum Schreiben.

Und weil ich heute auch schon ungefähr 4h am Tippseln war und so erstmal vorgesorgt habe, denke ich, ich kann euch mit einem weiteren Teil in den neuen Tag verabschieden .

Und JA, ich will Anerkennung dafür... :pfeif: ^^

UPDATE!

After countless moments, Meredith was finally able to get her eyes off of Derek. She blinked, blinked, blinked and her gaze fell on the doorway.

“Air. Me. I… I think I need some fresh air.” Her fingers were tense around her purse.

Derek tilted his head, giving her an endearing smile. The McDreamy smile. “You want some company?”

No! “Sure.” she smiled back at him. Please. How could a girl EVER resist that kind of smile?

“Great!” He stepped aside to let her going first and followed her to the door.

Her hips swung with each step. Left. Right. Left. Right. Causing her dress to wave around her long, slender legs. Derek really had a hard time to focus on the way. Not on her butt.

“You’re not staring at my butt, are you?” Meredith said, a playful grin on her face. Derek didn’t notice that she turned around and caught him staring at her bottom. He chuckled.

“Trying to but that dress obstructs the view.” he said and winked at her. She giggled. Her giggle. Music to his ears. It was enchanting. He wanted to tickle her to hear that adorable sound once again.

They reached the patio of the hotel and sat down on a bench in front of a huge fountain. It was formed of three swans, the wings outstretched, the long necks proudly curved. The moon was painting the place in a romantic light, the water, the swans, everything was glittering and sparkling.

“So,” Derek took a deep breath of the fresh air, “this is a nice place to hang out.”

“It is wonderful.” Meredith crossed her legs and her eyes travelled across the scenery. Derek watched her. Her face was softly illuminated by the moonlight and it took his breath away. Literally spoken.

“I was right.” he said, breaking the silence.

“About what?” she looked confused yet curious. He again gave her the McDreamy head tilt. She thought she’d melt away at any second.

“Your eyes.” His voice was deep and a little hoarse. Damn. Damn. Sexy. Goose bumps. Everywhere. Meredith shuddered. She was glad that she could sit right now because she was sure that the jelly in her legs had reached a level beyond manageable.

“My eyes?” She blinked, blinked, blinked again and smiled softly at him, causing his heart to do cartwheels in his chest. He felt the constant bump bump, bump bump, bump bump getting more powerful with every passing second.

“Emerald green. They are beautiful.”

She slightly blushed and looked down at her lap. But she was still smiling.

“I’m sorry, I’m embarrassing you.” he apologized, but still not being able to cut his eyes from her mind-blowing beauty. She still was beyond gorgeous when her cheeks turned pink. Like now.

“You’re not.” She lifted her head and looked straight into his eyes. His cobalt blue eyes. There was something in them she couldn’t quite put her finger on. Thoughtfulness. Admiration. Yet… almost something like… sadness.
She suddenly shivered, realizing that it was January and she was wearing nothing but her white shockingly expensive robe. She rubbed her arms with her hands to warm them up.

Derek noticed her trembling body and didn’t hesitate to take off his jacket and put it over her shoulders.

“Is that better?” he asked.

She was melting away. “Much better.” She inhaled the scent of his jacket. It smelled like heaven. Masculine. And sort of spicy. Her mind got cloudy again. She closed her eyes and got lost in his aroma. Taking a deep breath of it. Again. And again. And again.
She woke up from her escape by someone clearing his throat. Derek jumped off the bench.
