‘Before They Were Stars’ war ne Sendung auf dem Musiksender VH1.

Helmett Newton soll wohl Helmut Newton sein. Ein deutschstämmiger Fotograf, der recht kontroverse Fotos mit gefesselten Frauen gemacht hat. Deshalb auch die Anmerkung von Paris im nächsten Satz, er solle seine Peitschen und Ketten zu Hause lassen.

Das Vomitorium soll wohl ein Ort sein, an dem beide vomiten können, nachdem sie alles durcheinander gegessen haben.

Wir hatten noch "Freaky Friday" offen: das ist ein Film, in dem Mutter und Tochter die Körper tauschen, so wie es Lorelai in dem Zitat vorschlägt.

""Shane. Shane. Come back!"" ist ein Zitat aus dem Western "Shane" von 1953, allerdings weiß ich nicht den Zusammenhang oder was in der Szene passiert, hab ihn nicht gesehen... Es muss aber recht berühmt sein, es ist immer Nummer 47 auf einer Liste der Top 100 Movie Quotes:

Ich sehe gerade: in der Liste sind noch ein paar Zitate, die wir später noch brauchen werden.
Z.B. "We'll always have Paris." aus Casablanca (sagt Lorelai irgendwann in der 4. Staffel als sie von der Affaire von Paris und Asher Fleming erfährt) und
"I see dead people." aus The Sixth Sense (sagt Lorelai in der 5. Staffel, als sie Luke überzeugen will die Verabredung mit ihrer Mutter abzusagen) und
"My precious" aus Lord of the Rings (sagt Lorelai in der 4. Staffel zu Manolo Blahniks in der Shopping Mall mit Emily).

"Forget it Jake, it's Chinatown" ist auch drin. Das hatten wir ja schon.

So wie ich das verstanden habe, wird Shane am Ende des Film angeschossen und er steigt auf sein Pferd und reitet davon. Dann ruft Joey "Shane - come back!"
Aber ich habe den Film auch nicht gesehen, sonder nur die Zusammenfassung im Internet gelesen.

Was ist denn jetzt mit Chomsky? Wie habt ihr das denn interpretiert?

@medea: Ich greif dann wenn wir bei den staffeln sind, nochmal drauf zurück. Würde jetzt nciht ubnedingt schon aus anderen staffeln soviel davon machen, weil sonst der erste post wieder gesprengt wird

Vielleicht ist mit Chomsky auch gemeint, dass es um realitätsfernes Wunschdenken geht - wie man es ihm als (linkem) Kritiker (und Anarchisten) vielleicht unterstellt.

Jap, das würde auch zu Francies "I live in the real world, now blow" passen.

Und bei Sister Sledge meint Lore das ja villeicht gar nicht im negativen Sinne... Ich werde mir die folge heute mal auf deutshc anschauen! Villeicht kapiert mans dnan..
